About this property

Blue Ribbon Trout Stream Out Your Back Door

The amazing location and privacy of this property speaks for itself. Located just steps from Rock Creek you can put the coffee on, throw a line in, and have a fish on before your first cup.

Sitting on 3.5 acres, surrounded by USFS land, wetlands, a spring creek, and mountains, this is your own personal getaway! Whether you are a hard core angler, novice or porch lounger, this property will meet your every need. The stocked pond, located about 50 feet from the front porch, is perfect for young children to try their hand at fishing and fun for the expert to practice that new dry fly. A short hike gets you over to the spring creek to try your luck. And the famed blue ribbon trout stream called Rock Creek needs no description.

The cabin has three porches. The front porch tends to be sunny and looks out over the large yard and pond. The two back porches, one upstairs and one down, sit overlooking Rock Creek and tend to stay in the shade. Large windows allow constant views of the wildlife and surrounding mountains.

Downstairs holds a laundry/mud room, the open kitchen and family room complete with beautiful gas stove, smart TV and comfy furniture. The master bedroom with queen bed and full bath is also located on the first floor.

Climb upstairs to the loft and you may not want to come down after seeing the view from all directions. Two cozy queen beds set up next to the windows at either end of the loft let you wake up to the eagle flying down the creek, or watch deer out by the pond. There is also a bunk with queen mattress on bottom and twin on top plus a separate small bedroom with a twin bed. The second full bath is also upstairs and we provide two blow up mattresses if extra sleeping space is needed for large groups.

We stock the cabin with many conveniences ranging from basic spices, hand soap, laundry detergent and paper products to shampoo and hair dryers, allowing for lighter bags on those long flights and a faster stop at the market. Dish Network, internet, WiFi, and included long distance phone, keep you as connected to the world as you would like to be. We also happily supply a rolling cooler, plastic ware, guide recommendations, and local maps and brochures.

Rock Creek Meadows is about relaxing, enjoying your time together and making the most of your stay. We are here to help make that happen as we try and improve the Cabin and yard each year with our returning guests in mind.

MT Fishing Adventure
Aileen and Joe were awesome hosts! Property is nestled right next to Rock Creek amongst the mountains and within 90 minutes of all major fishing rivers. We had 6 in our party and had plenty of room and everything we needed. I hugely recommend staying at this property.

This property is so quiet, rural, and peaceful. We come from the city and this stay was a true recharge of all of our batteries. We pray we can come visit again in the future.

Perfect spot for a fishing family
Aileen is such a great host. We had two families with 5 kids ages 3-8. We knew the fishing would be spectacular, but challenging to have little kids around Rock Creek all day. The fishing is unbelievable, but the Creek is very strong for little kids. Aileen had so many great things around the house to keep kids busy. It was a very welcome surprise, and made our stay even more enjoyable. The pond on the properly was perfect for kids to fish for a little bit, then they’d transition to wiffleball or disc golf. The views are spectacular, wildlife is abundant, and we caught fish non stop. Rock Creek is literally at your doorstep, and on the first night while manning the grill i caught a 17” cutbow in between burger flips. Just an incredible experience, and we can’t wait to come back again!

About the host

We live in Las Vegas, NV and are true nature lovers that got bitten by the Big Sky and love all that is Montana. In honor of WWII Iwo Jima veteran Henry Childers who built this wonderful place, our family members who have served our country, and all who have chosen to serve, we offer 15% discount for military.

Why they chose this property

The beauty of this property is not done justice by the pictures. The property is breath taking no matter the time of year. Sun reflecting off the snow in winter, a rainbow of surrounding colors in fall, flowers and wildlife all around in the summer, and the beauty of the water that makes up Rock Creek all spring.

What makes this property unique

Our first stay here - we drove down the driveway, took a deep breath, listened to the silence, then the roar of the creek, and fell in love.
